In The Community: At The Apollo for After-School All-Stars Big City Builders Program

SK+I and Insight Property Group partnered with After-School All-Stars (ASAS) in the Big City Builders program – a 10-week real estate + development career exploration program for middle school students. Week 4 of the program exposed students to the building design process. Our architects and Insight met with a group of all-stars at The Apollo to give them hands-on experience examining plans and material samples, as well as an opportunity to tour the final product. They also learned about the architect’s role and coordination efforts among all the players involved in bringing the residential building to life.

ASAS provides after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life. ASAS serves 73,706 low-income, at-risk youth at 351 Title I schools in 19 major cities across the country. – ASAS
